The post-spawn funk can be a tricky time of year to target and pattern bass, but luckily Bassmaster Elite angler, Bob Downey, is here to share with us his top three post-spawn baits. When fish are still up shallow and haven't fully moved offshore yet, his first choice is a swim jig to cover water in 5-6 feet or less. Once you start finding fish, a wacky rig is a great choice to slow down and pick apart certain areas. A hollow-body topwater frog gets the nod as the third option, which allows you to cover water quickly or slow down near isolated targets. The frog is also a great way to get a big bite during the post-spawn blues!
