Kayak tournament angler, Joey Vanyo, is here to share his top three techniques for fishing from a kayak. For starters, Joey recommends a bladed jig for covering water and its ability to being above-average sizes bass aboard. From there, Joey slows things down a little with a more subtle offering in a wacky rigged stick worm, which is a proven fish catcher year-round or when the bite gets tough. Lastly, Joey relies on the trusty skirted bass jig for fish that are more oriented on the bottom or looking downward while feeding. With these three setups, any angler can hit the water with their kayak in the pursuit of catching more bass.
