Skipping boat docks is a great way to get your bait in front of fish that some other anglers simply pass up on or miss. MLF pro Jeremy Lawyer is an expert at dock fishing from his years spent on Oklahoma's Grand Lake, and today he's here to show how to skip docks with a jig. Before making a cast, Jeremy suggests looking for the darkest shade spot beneath the dock as the ideal target. Rather than dropping your bait under or around the edges of a dock, always try to skip it back further into the shade pockets. The action of a bait skipping across the water can be enough to trigger a bass into biting, as it can imitate a fleeing baitfish across the surface and trigger strikes better.
